:: wallpaper? ::

Our front room is a space very similar to this...a small room with a solid back wall. We are using the space as our office and I like the idea of it being an office, but right now it is a room waiting to get some attention (even though it is the first impression you get when you are welcomed to our home.) We have our back wall painted a chocolate color at the moment (which we did 4 years ago.) Now I am considering putting up some cool wallpaper. What do you think? It is such a small accent wall and would be easy to put or take down when it comes time for a change. I think a something similar to this stunning mirror would be nice and make the room feel larger since it would reflect the light coming from the window across the room. I want to finish it off with a glass desk with hair pin legs (a concept I have envisioned and would have to make) in the middle of the room, a rug, and some kind of low/long shelf against the back wall, and then chair(s) facing the desk. That is the plan anyways! =)

my personal opinion (which I know you value sooo much when it comes to decorating) is that wallpaper is of the devil. It's never "EASY" to take down. Good luck with that. :) NO really, I think those all look pretty cool.

p.s. I would gladly take the pictures that (Anna, right?) painted off your hands if they don't match the new decor.

I say go for it - be bold. Choose a killer print that grabs hold of your visitors eyeballs and forces them to look at all your hard work!

There are wallpapers that are easily removable now days. When you are picking it out -- choose a pattern/color one step bolder/bigger than you think is appropriate for the room.
You'll be delighted with the results. Alot of people think that you have to keep things small scaled in a small room. Not true!
Your ideas are great. You understand alot about design, light, scale, etc. I'm very proud of you.
